While our team at Highlight Painting Service handles the bulk of the preparation work, there are a few small steps you can take to help us get started smoothly and protect your belongings.

Before our painters arrive, we recommend:

  • Removing any fragile or valuable items from the work area

  • Taking down curtains, blinds, wall hangings, or artwork

  • Moving small furniture and personal belongings to other rooms if possible

For larger pieces of furniture that can’t be moved, our team will carefully cover them with drop sheets to prevent any paint splashes. We also take precautions to protect your floors, fittings, and fixtures, ensuring everything stays clean and secure during the painting process.

If you're unsure about what needs to be done, don’t worry—during our initial quote and consultation, we’ll go over the preparation steps with you. We’ll also let you know if any surface repairs are required before painting begins.
